At Hope Without Borders Network (HWBN), we believe that meaningful humanitarian work begins with people who are willing to care, listen, contribute, and take action.
HWBN is powered by a growing community of dedicated volunteers who contribute their time, skills, professional knowledge, personal experience, and compassion to our mission. They come from diverse backgrounds and include physicians, psychologists, educators, researchers, communications professionals, strategists, business professionals, students, community organizers, and others who believe in helping people facing displacement, persecution, hardship, and uncertainty.
Our professional volunteers are one of HWBN’s greatest strengths. Collectively, they bring more than 100 years of professional experience across a wide range of fields. They generously share their knowledge and expertise to help HWBN develop stronger programs, improve our communications, build partnerships, engage communities, and approach humanitarian challenges thoughtfully and responsibly.
Many members of the HWBN community also have personal experience with displacement and persecution. They include individuals and families who have left Iran because of persecution, discrimination, repression, or threats to their safety. Some are professionals who had established careers, students who left their education and friends behind, parents who had to make difficult decisions to protect their families, and members of ethnic and religious minority communities who have experienced discrimination or persecution.
This combination of professional expertise and lived experience gives HWBN a unique and growing foundation. Our volunteers understand that helping others is not only about providing resources—it is also about listening, connecting people, sharing knowledge, creating opportunities, and restoring a sense of dignity and hope.
As HWBN grows, we welcome people who want to contribute their time, professional skills, ideas, connections, or personal experience. Whether someone can volunteer regularly or contribute occasionally, every meaningful contribution helps strengthen our ability to serve others.
Our volunteers are more than a team. They are a community of people using what they know, what they have experienced, and what they can do to help others move toward a safer, more hopeful future.
