Mrs. Sheila
Neinavaie

Teacher | HWBN Volunteer

HWBN is honored to have Sheila share her experience, compassion, and commitment to help others find their voice, recognize their potential, and move toward a more hopeful future.

Her Journey

Resilience, Courage, and Hope

Sheila Neinavaie brings to HWBN a deeply personal understanding of resilience, courage, and the transformative power of hope.

Her journey began in Iran when she was still a 15-year-old high school student who simply wanted her voice to be heard and to have a say in the future of her society. At such a young age, she faced circumstances that profoundly shaped her life and gave her an enduring appreciation for freedom, human dignity, and the importance of standing beside those who feel unheard or without support.

After enduring nearly eight extraordinarily difficult years during her youth, Sheila ultimately rebuilt her life and transformed those experiences into a lasting commitment to helping others.

Today, based in California, she, a teacher, brings to HWBN something that cannot be learned from books or professional training alone: the lived experience of facing profound adversity, finding the strength to begin again, and understanding how important hope can be when the future seems uncertain.

Her Contribution to HWBN

Sharing Experience to Help Others

Her experience gives her a special connection to young people, refugees, displaced individuals, and others who are trying to find their place, rebuild their lives, and have their voices heard.

A Source of Hope

For HWBN, Sheila represents an essential part of our philosophy: those who have traveled through difficult times can become a source of hope for those who are still making that journey.
